Audrey Heijns received her MA in Chinese Studies from Leiden University and worked as Assistant Editor at Renditions, Chinese University of Hong Kong before joining the City University of Hong Kong as Research Fellow. She is a translator of Chinese poetry and prose, and editor of VerreTaal, the online database of Chinese literature in Dutch translation.
