LIO, Beardsley
EXPLORE...
Describing herself as a 'new age Buddhist', 'full-time dreamer', 'animals lover', and illustrator Lio Beardsley chose to name herself after Aubrey Beardsley in honour of his intricate paintings. When Lio studied in the States, she loved to visit local second-hand bookstores and has collected many cartoonists' books from the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s — her favorite time period, which she finds funny, flowery, hippy, and happy and where she always dreams of going back in time to befriend the cartoonists who depict their day-to-day vignettes in a light and humorous manner.
Lio collects dollies, vintage-goodies, and cartoon books. She was a photography graduate at Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
