Peter Suart is a writer/illustrator, a musician and a theatrical performer. He is co-founder with Kung Chi Shing of ‘the box’, a Hong Kong theatrical music ensemble, and has worked as musician/composer, set designer and actor for dance and theatre companies. He has performed six of his own one-man plays in Hong Kong, the most recent, Melencolia, also staged in Cardiff and London. He is the author/illustrator of the Tik and Tok books, and the illustrator of several Folio Society volumes. Long a resident in Hong Kong, he now lives in England, writing and illustrating, designing, and composing music for theatre and dance. He and Helen Lai are making a performance based on Gabriel García Márquez’ One Hundred Years of Solitude, for CCDC in December 2015 in Hong Kong.
